I am hoping that janiwani and joe, and _im53 dont mind me starting a second thread about the camping trip organised for the end of May in Norfolk......but the other one was full up .....it wasnt allowing you to add anymore posts to it lol.

I was wanting to ask folk that are attending if you wanted to say Hi to us....as in an email or chat on MSN before we land on the Friday...as we dont know anyone lol.

We have sent a cple of messagas to say hi but we arent really sure whoose going and whoose not lol

We are really looking forward to the trip.....we have not done the swinging camping thing before so its a first for us....

hugs

A big barbie is what we did last year and it worked out fine, I will also be putting up my kitchen tent with 2 rings and grill cooker and electric kettle and pots and pans in for anyone who does not have cooking facilities, please leave the kitchen tent as you would like to find it.

Looking forward to having a nice weekend and to meeting you all

just a reminder to people the cost of the campsite is £8.00 per person per night without electric and £10.00 per person per night with electric. ~This is paid directly to the site owners or rep and not to me and they would like to be paid in cash. This is a working farm and they do not have cash machines etc for us to use.

Hi - I had put my name on the list on an earlier thread, but regret to say that I won't now be coming.

I've realised that I'm now looking for different things from this site and although I'd have loved to still come, it's a bit far if I'm not going to feel properly involved...

I hope that you all have a fabulous time!

just a word of advice: as you travel down the country road the entrance to the site is through a grey gate, you then go along another bumpy country road and you will come to another gate it is through this gate that the campsite is on. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS A WORKING FARM AND GATES MUST BE CLOSED BEHIND YOU TO KEEP ANIMALS IN.

Thanks for your co-operation

Hi everyone! Maria and I are so looking forward to the camping next weekend

Can anyone help with route suggestions? I am not familiar at all with Norfolk and the East Midlands - yes I have Satnav and can see logical routes on maps, but some local knowledege would be ace.

We are heading up from South Wales, Friday morning - anyone else heading in the same way we are happy to convoy?

Cheers and see you next week!

.

If I were going, I would have driven from Wiltshire via Oxford-Northampton-Huntington-Thetford-Dereham, using M4-A34-M40-A43-A45-A14-A11.

I would avoid M25 like a plague, however, depending what time you are setting off, it *may be* ok.

Have fun!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but posting the address to where you are staying in an open forum is a bit daft isn't it... surely it would have been better to pm everyone who was confirmed as attending so as to avoid any "unwanted guests/attention"... now you can view the forum if you are not a member and fabs do censor the site but only our usernames. Perhaps it would be advisable to delete the address and send it via mail when requested?

This is not an invitation only event anyone is invited to attend, it is primarily a social event and what happens between adults is their business. As for posting the address it was posted last year and worked well so if its not broke dont fix it.Anyone could put their names down for the event and get the details sent to them if it was done that way so it really dont matter. anyone can set up an account so in that way we are all vulnerable, I work it the best way i can and I cant please everyone all of the time no matter how hard i try.

I'm not having a go (hope it didn't come across that way), it was just a bit of advice.

We have been going to socials, be it parties in towns, private venues, peoples homes and even camping events such as the one you are advertising - all of which have been open invitation to all - for many years now, all have given a general location for example coventry area, then nearer the date an exact location given via mail. We have even organised events ourselves and so appreciate how difficult it is.

I simply thought that it is much safer to give a general indication of where it is to start with, and then when the time comes to individually mail all confirmed people with exact details.

Everyone organises things differently, but you may have found more people interested had the exact details not been posted, I know we would not attend a social if the whereabouts was disclosed in such a way. But then again you may get more there by doing it that way lol
