Hertfordshire fun?

I'm in Hertfordshire and there seems to be a lack of local playmates. I'm straight and single, I can accommodate or travel but there does seem to be a lack of fun in the area. Any ideas? Most emails remain unread and those that I do chat with are normally over fifty miles away. The real question is should I renew my subscription? The investment of £5 or however much it is.
