Hi I'm josh..work and live in northwest ..34 and im an engineer,need know anything else its in my profile or you can ask if you like.

Im looking to see if anyone is interested in meeting this afternoon ideally for fun, if not im happy with a social and im even happy just to meet someone of here in person just so i can get bloody verified haha..

I finish early on fridays so anytime from 12:30 onwards in lancashire is fine with me depending on distance...thanks for reading this hopefully someone will help me out...if not i could only try

Hey there, it's an open forum and people can post what what they want so no worries there.

The reception you get tends to depend on your level of hotness - average type fellas will get a lot of sarcasm and piss taking, you seem a good looking decent chap, with a decent profile, so I'm sure you'll be fine with the ladies, some guys however may try and point score and mock in some sort of testosterone-fuelled challenge but ignore it is my advice .

I'm bald, I'm hairy, I wear specs

I have met both males and females from this site. I have met MF couples and MM couples too.

I only meet those I find attractive - some would argue I punch above my weight (I don't buy into that approach either btw)

I never blow smoke up other peoples arses and I certainly don't chase anyone 'to make them feel special or wanted'

Going by your thoughts, I'd never get a meet.

The thing is, I have never struggled to get meets.

I don't get to meet everyone I would like to by any means, but that said the site has thrown several meets my way from people I would have never thought were interested in me.

But meet I have.

I've never viewed it as a competition.

I have been largely respectful to all users - male and female (apart from maybe a bit of light hearted mickey taking) and I have pretty much always approached the site in a non sexual way.

All I have been is myself.

You will find that most people don't expect any more than that.

Good luck. I hope you get your meet veri soon.

In the mean time, don't turn it into a frantic chase. It shows and it is rarely attractive.

Nah it's not a competition, if it is its only with yourself. As you say there are always better looking, more successful, fitter guys. All you can be is the best 'you' you can be. After that you'll get meets. I'm average joe but I do ok.

Get to socials, make some fab friends

Nah it's not a competition, if it is its only with yourself. As you say there are always better looking, more successful, fitter guys. All you can be is the best 'you' you can be. After that you'll get meets. I'm average joe but I do ok.

It only feels intimidating the first time you go. The most difficult part of all is ringing the bell or opening the door.

After that it all drops into place. As for being awkward if you met somebody you knew... it would surely be just as awkward for them.

What are they going to do? Tell someone, "Hey, guess what? I saw Whassiname in the swingers club I go to yesterday."

I don't think that will happen.

If you want a recommendation for a club to go to I could point you in the right direction of one that's not too frightening.

Every time you go to the pub, are you looking to pull ?

Of course you may be, but most people go to the pub to hang out, socialise, make friends, get pissed or generally just have a good time.

Not every time are they on the prowl, looking for an opportunity to be sexual with someone.

A pub is a micro community, we know some others in passing, to say 'hi' to. Others we might have a pint with and get to know a bit better. Others you know intimately. They know you in and out. You know them in and out.

That's how I treat the site.

I don't go looking.

Some people you get to know better than others. Some are attracted to you cos you're a good guy, a laugh. Others just want to get down and dirty with you. Others might just think you're a dick.

It takes time to develop these relationships, just as it takes time to walk in a pub and everyone in there knows you to at least say 'hi' to.

Fab is no different.

Engage people. Talk to them. Make them laugh. Stagger them with your smile. Give some a cheeky wink. See what happens.

Don't walk in and say 'hey, who wants a pint with me' because most will be thinking 'who is this guy ?'

This is perfect! I find that this site works best when it's used in addition to the swinging lifestyle, use it to keep in contact with those you've met or as a tool to possibly meet in the future. As a sole way of meeting people it's very difficult unless you're a single lady or a hot couple
