Social night out Liverpool city?

I am just gauging interest for now.

Are people interested in an organized, but informal, pub night out / Social night out in Liverpool city Centre?

I am inspired by the Social Nights out that happened in Chester a while ago, because sometimes it's just nice with a no-pressure, chilled night out with likeminded people!

Any interest in this type of night?

I would start it Saturday the 19th of December, and continue every 3rd Saturday of the month, if there's enough interest.

It would be a different inner city pub each month, exact venue to be disclosed upon text confirmation two days before.

No fees and definitely NO raffle tickets on sale!!!

This would be a chilled and relaxed evening amongst like-minded. There would be no pressure about anything else than making your night pleasurable for yourself and be pleasant company to people around you.

If you have such specific requirements about the gender you wish to be around you on a night out, why not start up an initiative yourself?

Good the hear the Mrs is coming too!

Swinging was originally a Spin-Off from Wife-Swap. If Top Gear's story about keys in a bowl is to be believed! I wouldn't worry about the mix of people. Swinging will always fundamentally be a Couples' thing, I've not experienced any Social Nights / Pub Nights out where it was any different.

Don't forget, there's always a bigger pressure on a single man as soon as we are off the Net. Many will bottle it and not make it on the night.

When I mentioned it to the wife she immediately said, can I not come too, I said yeah of course you can, so you can count on us both being there, and I'm sure you're right, a lot of single guys will show interest but won't show up on the night.

Love to attend.

We arranged pub socials near Chester some years ago, they became a busy night, too busy sometimes.

Our only suggestion is not to overplan it.

Set a pub, a date and send out the details and a contact mobile if possible as quite a few will be a little nervous when arriving and a friendly voice at the end of the phone can help.

Also, if a third of the people who say they are attending actually show up, you've had a good result.

Will struggle in December due to work nights out etc.

Let us know date and venue when confirmed and will try our very best to get there.

We only had 3 or 4 couples and a few single guys manage the first meet but after a few regular monthly socials one night hit 60 couples, it was getting out of hand,the barman asked if it was a 'works do', something like that was my reply....

I'd like to attend these Socials yet for confidentiality may I suggest you always go with a Private Room as Liverpool's geography makes it more like a village in that the City Centre is very very compact compared to say London.

Am arranging, a Social on Saturday 30th April 2016 - this being my 5th & it's common for some attendees whom aren't living in the city to let's say be more publicly open as to the reason they are partying.

That's awkward when the person they are flirting with happens to be an unaware office colleague of a fellow Fab Member whilst the group is walking along Bold Street at 11:00pm on a Saturday evening...!!!

I know that the BDSM Community, have a monthly Social in Liverpool City Centre yet the venue is rather popular leading to some people in that lifestyle not attending.

May, I suggest that you make contact with established Fab Member: davrod

davrod hosts the longest established House Party currently in the North West & knows a vast amount of people in the lifestyle. Therefore, once making a connection with him will lead you to numerous others.

This is the thing with the lifestyle, everybody is sort of got an opinion(s) with an edge.

My advice is go for yourself, talk to the host & fellow attendees then from this make your own conclusions.

Sadly, in the 11½ years that I've been involved in this lifestyle the major downer has been the constant belittling of others...

ranging from owners of Clubs, to people talking about others abilities organizing events to even individuals.

Lot's of he say/she say, sadly.

All, I can say as a individual that's a long-time attendee of parties hosted by davrod. He's a welcoming host, people feel safe along with relaxed & lot's of kink occurs.

It's always a truly diverse crowd in terms of age, body shapes, personalities, social class, ethnicity & sexual orientation.

Some, people just want the same age group as them which is fine yet davrod is open to all & for this I respect him.

Again, I suggest you attend his next House Party which is on New Year's Eve & decide for yourself.

I've attended previously a BDSM Munch when it moved from a Private Room of a Liverpool City Centre Pub on a Saturday Afternoon to just a corner of a trendy Bar on a Thursday Evening.

I didn't like it, as I was encountering people whom I knew in my vanilla life & the fact the the people attending who didn't live in Liverpool where to obvious in their attire & behaviour as they didn't give two f**ks.

If, a person wants to dress as if a character out of "The Matrix" then that's fine yet isn't a Munch or Social still about respecting confidentiality especially of others & NOT placing unwanted attention that might embarrass fellow attendees?

Have fun yet also be discreet as well.

3. We love Liverpool and will prob come as we prefer socials to clubs and like a night out without pressure so we can choose

4. If your not interested in coming to this event then just " walk on by "

5 I would imagine it's a real test trying to arrange all the elements of a social so good on you for trying ...

Who doesn’t like a little bit of statistics, so I’ve been having a little play,

At first, I contacted 55 people who had expressed an interest either by this thread or by contacting me.

2 TVs, 11 men, 8 women, and 18 couples.

Of them 21 people in all texted me as a first opt-in for the night.

Before the night I had received apologies by text from 1 woman and 1 man.

Of the people who had texted me 1 TV, 5 couples, 2 men, and 0 women did a No Show / had a change of heart / a change of plans.

For those who came, I genuinely could not have chosen better people to share the night with if I had tried! People who fully understood the concept of having a chilled night out and be pleasant company to those around them! Actually, the level of conversation was well above my expectations and quite enlightening!

Lessons learned?

Choose a pub where the kitchen doesn’t close at 4pm!
