For that animal inside of you

As discussed in the Lounge I'm organising a social meet at the zoo (time and location tbc).

Everyone's welcome to come along.

Public transport makes it easy to get to (park and ride buses from the city centre)

Why not make a weekend of it, and combine it with some Christmas shopping

Please pm me, or post below if you're interested in meeting some fellow forumites and fabbers

Just to let everyone know, if you're traveling by train, the zoo bus link leaves Chester Station from stop S6 (opposite the station) every 12 minutes from 9.24am from Monday to Saturday.

If you Google the zoo and go to their Plan Your Visit section there are details of how to get there by car, bus, plane, bike etc.

There's also an App you can download which has a geo-map of where you are and where to go in the zoo

I looked last week & you can get a discount for booking online in advance. Didn't look at group discount though

I actually think this is brilliant.. Would be so interested to hear how the logistics will work.. Will it be like a tour guide holding up a big fab sign to all huddle round!!!

You may need to get payment or a deposit from people to guarantee the prebooked numbers. If people want the discount group rate I would have thought we'd be happy to PayPal it to you.

Hi fabbers, I'm sorry to say, but I'm going to have to back out of this social

Some may recall that a few weeks ago I was in Birmingham awaiting my daughter's audition for the Royal Ballet, well she's had a call-back and it's on Sat Dec 5th, the same day as the social

So I'm a very proud Dad, but it means I can't meet you lovely people

If anyone wants to take on the reigns of this, I'll support them all the way, with my local knowledge and zoo membership
