"Those photos on my profile taken on my mobile phone selfies , not taken by the Nikon. "

Photography isn't just about the equipment... a decent photographer will get a decent shot out of pretty much any camera. Composition is also important. If you've mastered the manual settings then take some decent shots for your profile. Based on what's there at the moment, it's not that great an advert for your talent.

Ah, I see I have stumbled into the weekly photographer offering his services thread.

I was looking for a grand piano. Sorry to have troubled you all, I'll be off to another thread. If you do happen upon a grand piano looking for me, point it in my direction. His name is Eadwulf and he's quite harmless.

Definitely.

We don't bother taking a camera on holiday any more, and just use the ones on our phones. We've both been able to take some really good photos. Even phone cameras have a range of useful settings these days.

Owning a Nikon or a Canon does not make you a photographer; it just makes you a Nikon or Canon owner.

Just concentrate on your ability to shoot, one model, natural light, female and male, don't be shy shooting naked men it won't take your manhood away.

Experiment, make mistakes and learn as you shoot. Have a body of work, let's say 20 images, have a webpage to showcase your hard work, then begin requesting for subjects on here. If your work is good, you'll be on to a winner...and don't be a gear junkie, your best camera is in you head!!!

Congrats on mastering your camera, now get out and shoot.

Most do have an action shot mode. How good it is will depend on the phone I would think...

Not the only one - we'll start a leper colony!

Some of our photos are taken with a top if the range canon, some with a compact and some with a phone. Although they may not be great art work, none are too bad, and we challenge anyone to say which photo is taken with which camera.

Plus a decent photographer who loves taking artistic photos will usually be happy to shoot men as well as women.

There's only one reason I can think of that a "photographer" will only want to shoot women and couples.

was said a lot but still d like to add smth....

photography is about finding right angle in a right second so.......

photography equipment in price comparison

between 300£to 30000£ and that could just for body and 1 lens

so inviting someone to Nikon thing sounds a bit...........(not rude tonight)

I do feel sorry for the OP, he has taken the time to learn his equipment, and to be fair it's harder to take a good self picture than some one else ....

and how is he to learn if he can't get any models ?

he may take the best picture ever of a flower or landscape, he could put them on his profile to show his skill !!!!

but I think he has more than likely thought if I buy a good camera I will get loads of couples to strip in front of me !!

and whats the difference between a naked single guy, and a naked guy in a couple ?

Why not? A photographer is an artist and has a good eye for an image. A crap image indicates someone doesn't have a good eye, and therefore probably isn't a great artist. We make no claim to be photographers but we would be embarrassed to post some of the pictures that so-called photographers post.

Some of our photos are taken on a DSLR and some on a phone - the best camera is the one you are holding when you see the shot.

It's not just about knowing the settings. Composition is right up there with importance and always pay attention to your light sources. You are essentially capturing light.
