meeting for the first time... Why so bad?

Right I've been on here a while and nmet a few times but not been personally verified.

Now my question is why are people so off put by this? The amount of mail of mine that gets deleted is unbelievable, even when I do make an effort... I always show respect and have people's best interests at heart yet I get nothing but ignorance back. Any advice on how to advance from here? I'm even thinking of making a fresh start with up to date details and what not
