Only a week left before we party in Sheffield!

As has been said in the previous two threads this is a purely social social in a busy pub in central Sheffield. All are welcome just post on the thread to join the guestlist.

The list will close at midnight on Wednesday. Venue information will be mailed out by then as well. Please do not discuss the venue in the forum or give details out.

There will be a raffle in aid of a Sheffield cancer care and support charity and we have had some great prizes donated so I hope you'll be generous.

And on a personal note: I'm getting excited now!

The village Elders have granted me permission to leave the confines of Arse End so long as I don't allow the bright lights of the big city to corrupt me, so I'm depending on you all to ensure my innocence is not sullied

Don't worry Caz, I have a phd in librarianship and appearing innocent in all situations. I will impart some of my knowledge and not only will the elders be satisfied but you'll also have a shiny new classification system for the parish records.

Perhaps it will help to reduce the incidence of webbed fingers in Arse End...

Bumf sent out to Wyrd - would be so good to see you again. Though if she's struggling to find a hotel room perhaps one of the fitties who already has one might consider sharing...

And I won't be posting the guestlist, nor will we be having name tags - sorry folks but since we have to go through the pub to get to the bar and loo a name tag saying "cumonmyface" would possibly attract some interesting attention! And yes I know that not everyone has a suggestive or explicit name but enough do.

So, the game for the evening will be guess the username.

The upstairs room is easy to find (flight of stairs at one side of the room) and there will be balloons on the bannister rail. You don't have to announce yourselves to anyone but me!

I'll be by the top of the stairs and will be greeting all you lovely people.
