Only 1 week to go to the next great Bristol Social. 13 couples and 5 guys on the list so far, filling up quick.

Held in a private bar 7-11pm. Open to everyone in the swing scene, or interested in entering it. Close to Temple Meads station, ample parking

What happens?... people chat, have a drink and a laugh. Newbies get info from old hands about the scene, people might make arrangements to meet each other privately, but by and large they talk about the places they've been to or are going to.

Whether you are an absolute newbie or experienced, its a great way to find out about the scene, what's on locally, and to get known - which obviously helps if you want to come to a party. It's all first name terms and people don't ask about each others day jobs or other personal information.

Limited number of priority invitations to a couples house party on Jan 29th for those attending the social.

I really like the idea of this.

Pearl Necklace just mentioned the thread to me and said I should look it up.

Are there any fixed plans yet ? I'm quite new here so should probably read what's already been posted, but whatever happens, please keep me posted.
