I’m just wondering if there’s people in Worcester that would be up for a group social sometime?

It would be great to meet like minded people locally

I'd have thought a bit of both.

Music for atmosphere and possibly so people can dance if they like, but not so loud that we can't talk.

I wouldn't worry, as far as I know it'll be a private function where what's said or what happens at the social stays there. I'm fairly new to the group social thing but everyone seems so nice and welcoming the way it should be

Hi all.

Sorry for the radio silence on the social.

I’m going to hold fire for now and look to do it in April/may time as there’s more to organising a social than I thought.

My original plan was just a few drinks and enjoy a night out but reading through comments I feel people would want something a bit more private so I will look into room hire somewhere so it’s more private but with the option of moving on into town if people wish to.

Worcester

Last time we did this we met at a pub in the afternoon. It was quieter so we were able to take over a large space. Later we moved on en-masse and did the same at another venue. It worked pretty well as I recall. Getting a space for a private event isn't that easy when you can't really confirm numbers isn't easy. The Gloucester meet was well established at a venue with steady numbers so they were able to maintain a private space.

Hi all.

Sorry I haven’t yet got around to organising anything as I’ve been having a break from here.

I’m so busy with work that doing anything else is on the back burner for now.

Day times are a definite no go due to having horses to see to after work.

My only day off is a Sunday so I would be looking at the social being on a Saturday night but there’s nothing stopping others from organising a social for another time that suits

No nothing happened.

But there are fairly regular events over in Brum if you are interested.

A fair few people from Worcestershire area go to them.

The next is a smaller social on a private party boat.

Check out the organisers profile for more details: https://m.fabswingers.com/profile/upthebrum_socials
