Hi all

Unfortunately we are going to pull out of the social next month

We go on a Caribbean cruise a week later and the restrictions for Covid testing are becoming more stringent.

We just can’t take the risk. This weekend we’ve just had at Butlins had shown us how much unavoidable close contact you have with people and so we’re just going to hibernate now for the next month

But we are child free for the April date so we’ll be coming to that.

Im going to be honest here. I know the message said ‘by 2nd Dec’ and maybe I ’m making an assumption here that the majority that haven’t replied aren’t coming but if you’re reading this and that relates to you, for either function, I’d encourage you to say.

I’d have thought that 2 weeks before you’d have decided if you’re travelling to a different city for the weekend - meanwhile, people who are keen to come are being turned away and hotel and train prices are steadily rising.

Socials are INCREDIBLY hard work to organise -please be a little more thoughtful and please do check in with your friends to ensure they won’t lose their place on the list if they are indeed intending to come.
