"Well you’re the first photographer to have decent pics of yourself, so that makes a change A lot of people will be wary as to who holds the rights to the pics…whether you are doing it as a hobby, charging. It’s quite a minefield and made worse by a lot of people on here saying they are a photographer when they actually aren’t. We would never use another person to take our pics as the body language would change, the way we posed…it wouldn’t be us or ours then. But it’ll appeal to a lot I’m sure…good luck K" Hadn't given "rights" much thought but, you're right, could be an issue. However, I'd be more than happy to give whoever had modelled rights to all pictures. Like I say it's merely something I'd be curious to explore, certainly nothing proffesional. I hate staged photos*turned down so many friends asking for wedding photos etc) so where possible it would be more of a candid photoshoot while a couple done...well, whatever it is they would like photos of. There's a definitive distinction between erotica and porn... not looking to shoot porn. Something sexual for sure but, tasteful Appreciate the feedback, thanks

"Echoing what Beyond said. First photographer to have decent photos on their profile. I know I'd be interested, but husband wouldn't. I'm hoping to take our own shortly, I know what I want - it's just executing it properly " Feel free to drop me a message if you want any tips - Total newb with erotica but, pretty handy with a camera

"I'm definitely no pro when it comes to photography, I don't even have a proper camera and just use my phone but I've always wanted to get into erotica photography. I just enjoy taking photos of all sorts of things landscapes, animals, people etc" I had a quick flick through your photos, you've got some good ones. Suggestive, not filth haha

"I'd suggest looking at going down the road of working with models first. There's a few good websites around that provide a good platform for photographers to find models and vice a versa. Some models will be happy to do it for free in return for a copy of the photos for their own portfolios. " That's a good shout as far as building my skills and a portfolio. Not sure how many of them would be comfortable getting their photo taken with a cock in their mouth though

"Afternoon all. A hobby of mine is photography. I've only tried erotica once or twice (a few self portraits are on my profile) but it's definitely something I'd like to try more of and explore my talents and the erotic side of things If anybody is interested, especially couples... please feel free to drop me a message. Thanks in advance " Gorgeous photos. I love the lighting.

I also have lights and reflectors now but holding reflectors is a challenge. I’ve also invested in a mamfrotto pro geared head and cable release but kind of like to hold the camera and move around a model shooting fast from different angles I’ve done some erotica in abandoned buildings recently that was fun and also possibly about to start working with an assistant from here.

"Good pics OP and it makes a change someone on fab putting the money where their mouth is. Erotic photography is something I want to explore more but as said before for me with someone taking the photos it wouldn’t quite feel right. I’m sure some would take your offer up though especially if you could present them a portfolio even if it’s just online" That’s a tough one for erotica and for portraits to an extent . So far I’ve only worked with people I know well so it’s been fine, there is chemistry and lighthearted fun and it works. There are biographies of good photographers that tackle interaction and chemistry but for erotica it’s always going to tough unless model and photographer are either extremely experienced / professional or have existing chemistry

Evie, best advice I can give you there is, watch the tutorials as a guideline!! You'll learn a lot more by playing with the camera, settings and lighting

When I first started out with my camera, I git the "for dummies" guide fir my specific model, it was actually really good. Once you have the basics, it's really more a case of trial and error and finding what you enjoy. I mainly do landscape. I live on the coast so, beach sunrise is 2 mins from my house. Ideal

" Has gave me a wee boost to dust of the old nikon though NO NO NO NO!!!! Canon or at a push Sony. " Most of my friends that are into photography have Sony or canon to be fair... I do like my little nikon though. Its just an entry level 5100 (my 5300 dies in the Highlands last month ) but it does me fine. Who knows, when my erotica career takes off, I'll upgrade haha

Not sea lane that goes into the golf course , the next road south. Follow it right to the end to a wooden gate , there is parking for 4-5 cars. Go through the gate turn immediately right, follow the path for 10-15 mins parallel with the beach , it’s easier especially at high tide. You will begin to see large rocks on the beach , descend and set up on a gorilla tripod in the rocks on a low tide if possible, wide angle lens you will get the famous shot of rocks in the foreground and castle in the background with sun rising to the left of the castle. Be careful it’s dangerous on the rocks they are super slippy

I mainly use the basic Canon 18-55mm kit lens as well, it does the job as well as (sometimes better than) the expensive lenses" I do a lot of travel photography so am using M4/3, Body and lenses are smaller . I just bought a GX7 to take into the desert in Sinai it was only £149 and I love it, some great features such as in body stabilisation so you can use cheaper lenses. I try to use prime lenses for photo shoots but for all purpose and ease I have a 12-32 (24-64 full frame) pancake lens, that was only £100. For landscapes and long exposures I use manfrotto carbon tripod legs and pro geared head unless I’m on the ground then a gorilla with a SmallRig head.

"Bit late to the party I reckon but... Sony make sensors for both canon and nikon so any would do, it's mainly preference. I've done the job a long time and would never let the model own the photo. I'm an artist and it's work. I even have all models sign a release to ensure there is no confusion. I'll be honest and say why would any photographer take photos and then give away their ownership? Never once heard of this being done, unless working for an agency. Both erotica and action shots are easily done but I would question the value of it for me.... unless you're doing a series of shots or some sort of documentary project I struggle to find a reason to do it. I love portraiture as well and would love to meet folk from here for shoots but there would have to be a clear narrative " There’s more to a camera than it’s sensor ! Kind of agree about ownership , I own copy of all my shoots. The only reason would be to do the shoot for practice or sexual gratification, but I guess for some people that’s enough of a reason. Personally as a subject of any kink photography I would not sign a release and insist the photographer uses my SD card , it might be unreasonable but it’s my choice

I would say the desired aesthetic would dictate the camera choiceas much as anything else. Ha! Who have you been working with? No photographer in their right mind would ever do that. Obviously been working with amateurs as any pro needs their images for self-promotion amongst other things. I would really worry about anyone that offers this sort of thing as they clearly have alterior motives beyond the image. Plus they haven't got a scooby doo about photography and their rights
