Drinks and a chance to meet others without pressure of first meet...and a chance to put faces to the names...always good for newbies...

Birmingham

A social is meeting other like minded people without the pressure to play. Its great for getting to know others and take things further in private at your pace if you wish.

There is one held in Coventry every couple of months with over 100 attending. It's at a private venue booked exclusively for our use with a bar disco and buffet for a mere £2.50 per person to cover costs. Its a No play at venue event, but there are always few private parties afterwards

Next one is 27th Oct

Socials can also be held at clubs.

Instead of having to pay the membership fee for the club, and some clubs have a long waiting list for single gent membership, one would only pay the normal or reduced entrance fee to attend a social by being a guest of the organiser(s).

IMHO, socials at clubs are great as they enable peeps to try out clubs that may be off-limit to them, e.g. single gents.

If the moods take them, peeps can play and have full sex in the play rooms etc., which is often not possible in pubs.
