3 times, through 3 different councils plus county council I've tried to open a genuine club here. Plus organise several parties and meets. All get shut down straight off. Good luck and hope it goes well. I'll stick to London and Birmingham.

Hi there, I think it is a wonderful idea, in my opinion, people forget that Socialising was a great part of meeting people before the Internet became a platform to hide. Members are dismissed on here maybe because of their picture, shallow really isn't that. Of course attraction is important, but isn't personality just as important? Hope your idea gets off the ground, it may bring a lot of people back to reality, just my opinion.

Happy to help out.

If the plan is for a Oxfordshire and Warwickshire based one then perhaps Banbury would be a good place as it’s on the M40 and there’s a train station. I don’t know any pubs or venues there though.

If we make it Oxford city based then that’s easier for me to check out some venues, but might then exclude some of the Warwickshire folks that showed an interest.

If anyone remembers, when I organised Oxford social back in 2019 (when profile was chippyoxford) I used All Bar One in Oxford if that helps. Happy to give any advice to anyone looking to organise a new one. Pm me if you'd like to know about that one,but if male you'll have to put on here. Rich x
