Can we start meeting again now? I thought that although we can meet indoors (hotels open etc), we should still socially distance?

I don’t think cautious hugging is what most fabbers have in mind...

O o O oo

If you are meeting within the Gov guidelines it is within site rules There is a message on your Home page, click on the link that says

"Covid-19: Hands. Face. Space. Fresh Air."

Does this mean we are now allowed to talk about potential socials in the future, post restrictions of course, in chat ?

We've been able to meet sociably at a distance since 29th March. We agree about what most will have in mind. It's up to the sensible and respectful people to be cautious and respect others well being till things are safer. India has sent us a reminder it's not over just yet. Be sensible and safe fab people

Early signs are showing its the people who don't want the vaccine who are ending up in hospital and intensive care so looks like NHS won't be overwhelmed. As the vaccine take up in general has had a great response, lock down again is very improbable.

If that is to me?

The meet section was closed for over a year. No one could post meets or talk about meets in chat in that time

The meet section is now open. You can assume it means you can arrange meets in the meet section, on your profile and in chat as long as it is within rules of the Gov at the time as the link I pointed to mentions.

If variants emerge so quickly that they can get round the protection vaccines offer then there really is no point locking down again!
