Standing in the queue for the till in asda today a lady came along side me and joined/semi joined the queue. She was at my shoulder or adjacent to me as opposed to behind me. Everyone else was in an orderly line. This seems to happen to me quite regular, where people seem unable to queue in a line, they have to hover at your shoulder or almost ahead of you! I often wonder are they expecting me to offer that they go before me. Could that be why they try and get in your line of sight rather than stand behind you? This happens with both sexes, just that todays incident happened to be a woman. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? And if so what in your opinion is the reason people do this?
