There's no magic formula.

I tend to check out someone's profile before opening a message, if I like that then there's more chance of me replying to their message no matter what it says (unless it's crude or weird).

In all honesty, you could send me a cracking message but your profile pic would be enough to make me delete..I'm not completely anti a dick pic as a 1st impression but this is a really unflattering pic..consider changing it. I'm sure you could find one a bit better than that.
