I was suprised, I was expecting a guilty verdict.

But if it is true and all these allegations were made up by these women then they should be all be jailed for life for trying to destroy Salmond.

lives are destroyed before many even get to court to have a trial.

the press, you, have already made youre mind up without knowing alex salmond or knowing any of the people making accusations against him.

some could have been cock teasers and money chasers but you don't want to hear that.

you just want to damn a man EVEN after a court of fair men and women listened to all the evidence from both sides.

he may have indeed at some point acted in a way deemed to be inappropriate but the jury cleared him.

he maybe chased privately threw the courts again for damages because the accused are not satisfied with the verdict.

if there was enough clear evidence of wrong doing he would of been found guilty regardless of who he is or in Salmonds case Was!.

this is not a sad day for women at all.

its only a sad day for you because you cannot spit out your bile at a man for a verdict you do not like.

Not at all. I listened to the trial and felt the evidence against him was not in his favour. I also know someone who works for the Scottish parliment who told me long before he was accused that it was an unwritten rule that females were not be left alone with him. But as you said he is innocent so does not matter what i think about him now. He is a free man.

I agree. Frustrates me greatly when a man is cleared of sexual assault but yet some people can't still except that the accused could of actually been innocent all along . Fact of life that some sick women do make these things up. Have been many many cases of this.

eg. I know of a case in my social circle who was publicly accused as a rapist after he was accused. Many witnesses on the night in question verified that she led him on & she invited him to her house etc. While she has maintained anonymity throughout, the guy has had his career and family life shattered....

You should be aware of the difference between innocent and not guilty. Courts don't declare people innocent. They declare whether a case has or hasn't been proven beyond reasonable doubt. That's not the same.

Is that specific to Scotland ? In England you are innocent until proven guilty, so by not proving you guilty you remain innocent. Which is reasonable to then say they were declared innocent. The not proven one is slightly different I guess.

Interesting how intricacies of legal decision making is always scrutinised when a certain case doesn’t go how some people it want , but the rest of he time it’s fine.
