"I have just tried to return a pair of flip flops which i got a few days ago, as they are faulty.. to be told that it was because i'd worn them bare foot.. um what was i meant to wear with flip flops??? tights? thick woolly socks? i'm confused!!!! " Remind the shop that because they are faulty they won't be selling them to anyone else so it doesn't matter if they've been worn barefoot or not, but if they intended to put them back on the racks for resale you feel sure that trading standards would be keen to hear of it. Your statutory customer rights under the Sale of Good Act 1974 state that an item must be fit for purpose, and if it isn't you are entitled to a full refund. | |||
