catalogue returns

I have just tried to return a pair of flip flops which i got a few days ago, as they are faulty.. to be told that it was because i'd worn them bare foot..

um

what was i meant to wear with flip flops???

tights? thick woolly socks?

i'm confused!!!!

Either that or there's been another quantum fuck up with my time machine. Sometimes it leaves little holes behind and threads from other time streams slip through.

Remind the shop that because they are faulty they won't be selling them to anyone else so it doesn't matter if they've been worn barefoot or not, but if they intended to put them back on the racks for resale you feel sure that trading standards would be keen to hear of it.

Your statutory customer rights under the Sale of Good Act 1974 state that an item must be fit for purpose, and if it isn't you are entitled to a full refund.

thanks, i'm aware of my consumer rights, i just found it weird that they'd blame the *fault* on me wearing them bare foot!! silly call centre lady heehee... but yeh, i'll flash them the *not fit for the purpose intended* card if it gets ugly lol

On the subject of returns..it was nice to see on that programme about the company on tv the other night, stuff returned to love honey go in the in the bin..

I always thought those sort of firms would re-package them and try selling them again

I like flip flops.... but on a beach they hurt like feck once the sand gets round that toe pole.... eeeek
