Serious question: will a walk over the fields be frowned upon?

It will be if you trample the crops. You'll be alright if you stick to the footpaths.

No it's encouraged. Socially distancing means not being too close to another person ie two metres. It's not a airborn virus and exercise and fresh air is still needed just away from others

No, as long as you maintain a metre distance from other people.

Many people should be getting air and exercise atm, as long as you distance from people you are free to roam

Loads of people out walking now, passing by me so far away, that I can browse this site and know non will see what I’m looking at

Only thing is, if you cough, they then give you the stare

A few Anglers up the river yesterday. Little has changed in that regard

Even if someone's doing it for me. At arms length?

My 85 year old dad is sticking to his routine of going to the pub on a Saturday lunchtime. He has bought a newspaper and a can of beer from Tesco and is sitting at a table in the pub's beer garden !

Our weekly market was open as usual this morning and was packed!!

The small town centre was busy too.

Oddly, everyone ignored the Social Spacing recommendations!

Thanks for answers. It's just it's well quite on my lane today. But it's never busy. Just doesn't seem to be any dog walkers or anything. I've just heard off a guy who's been out on his motorbike and said it's busy on the edge of Derby where he is.

My son's just gone out for a bike ride.

Glasgowish

I enjoyed a very long walk earlier and did not see a soul. Popped into Asda on way back and it was mobbed with people in very close contact with each other.
