I'd love to be disciplined enough to have a capsule wardrobe.

Do any of you have one? If so what does it consist of?

If you don't what would be in your ideal capsule wardrobe?

I have one and basically I moved house and gave everything I hadn’t worn In 6 months, unless specific to a season, to charity and then whenever I buy something new I get rid of something else. You should read the Marie kondo book and it makes you look at your clothes differently.

I'm too attached to my clothes to look at them differently .

My alter ego would have a crisp white blouse, a pair of achingly chic trousers and a dress and wear them with cunningly arranged scarves and statement jewellery to create 150 different looks

That’s where you have to be really honest about whether or not you actually wear things. It’s difficult but then once you have the capsule it makes life incredibly easy and you tend to look better for it

I will look but although I'd love to be that person I never will be. I'm just interested in what people would have in theirs

I wear everything in my wardrobe, I make a point of it. Some things only get worn once a year, some only on holiday but they all get worn.

I'm not minimalist in any respect, I'd like to be that person who has clear surfaces in the kitchen, one or two very stylish ornaments and a small collection of worthy books but I'm not and at this stage in my life am unlikely to be

What do people consider is the minimum amount of clothes a person needs?

I reckon for a woman it's two sets of underwear, one pair of shoes, two blouses, a skirt, a pair trousers, a cardigan and a coat.

I'm talking absolute minimum possible. Obviously for me it's about 50 times that

Well that's what I would consider the absolute minimum.

I'm thinking about my grandmother, I probably have more clothes in my wardrobe now than she owned in her entire adult life.

It's that for a weekend away?

In reality, yes I suppose it is and some people won't have more than that because they can't afford it. I know I have too many clothes. I might downsize during my isolating!
