A good day for burying bad news

Anyone see the stroy on the news of David Cameron having to admit, without press statements, that he is having to do a U turn on which version of the F35 eill fly off britain's next generation carriers?

Two years ago Cameron was adamant that Labour had got it wrong; today he's mysteriously silent as the story trickles out that Labour got it right, and that Cameron ha wasted millions trying to re-design the carriers to prove Labour wrong.

You couldn't make it up...

I don't know what's more surprising, that politician's pick bad news days for burying stories they don't want scrutinised, or that it happens so often that there is a term for it.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Ed the Red will have it tucked away in his top pocket to play later because today they're gunning for Theresa May, and picking apart the Queen's Speech.

As for the jet fiasco, I'm more annoyed that we're building TWO carriers only to mothball one of them.
