Possibly something to do with a lower upper age limit due to being 3rd world countries, less people with what is a predominantly 1st world problem type 2 diabetes, lack of media coverage, not as much health care so people aren't being tested other than that person it's just not hit them yet. Maybe another week or so.

I would imagine that it would decimate very poor countries with a poor healthcare system???

Just guessing really

Temperature too. I'm sure I heard the weather is a contributing factor.

They have no choice other than to adopt the Heard Immunity approach. It does work in the long term.

Our own health system isn't routinely checking yet. Surely they have to report deaths due to covid 19 to WHO if a pandemic is called.

How then? These countries are still struggling to have an accurate BIrth and death registry system. Many won’t go to hospital or even a doctor. This virus is just another to add to the list.

I've heard that heat kills it, though not officially. Surely if that was the case a few hours in a sauna or hot bath would be the cure

People that live in third world countries dont have disposable income

They dont move around and tend to stay in their communities

And dont hang around in Starbucks all day

All true but it started in a market in Wuhan, hardly international trend setters but it still spread pretty quick. Most of China and Korea don't travel but have lots of cases. It just strikes me a little suspicious these countries arnt reporting any incidents when you would expect it to be sky high

Stockport

For most very poor communities the death rate is horrendous anyway. We commonly live to 80 in this country. Some of these places the OP mentions, death by age 50 or earlier is common.

Yes, it will burn through these communities sooner or later. Yes lots will die. But the "nice people" in the "nice places" that run the countries won't care, they won't count the numbers.

PS. There are stories of satellite surveillance images showing mass graves in Iran. There will be places where bodies are gathered and burned in heaps.
