Let’s all adopt

A little old lady came into my place today and told me she is frightened

She has no family and her neighbors are not the best so I have swapped telephone numbers with her and promised her I will ring every day and whatever she needs I will do my best to help out I told her I have adopted her and she smiled and hugged me

If we all adopt someone vulnerable then perhaps we might just get through this

That’s all I have to say

I'm vulnerable to covid 19, who wants to adopt me?

Nah seriously OP, that's heart warming! There should be more people like you in this world

What a lovely gesture OP.

I agree that we should all try to help the vulnerable.

Sounds selfish but can’t do that as I’m classified as vunerable but have talked to my neighbour next to me best I could do. If was healthy and had a car I would be doing same right now

That’s so lovely. I cried at the lady on the news today. It’s just so awful. I’ve been round to all my neighbours today.

Me too, shall we adopt each other?

What a wonderful thing to do OP

My neighbour called round tonight to give me their number if I needed anything or just wanted to chat. They were worried as I am an oldie and live on my own. Bless them it's comforting to know I'm not alone. Take care everyone x

Would make sense, we can look after each other and stay entertained at the same time

We've got someone locally who is coordinating volunteers to get shopping etc for people..

Pretty sure it will be happening all over..
