What animals inspire you?

What animal, real or mythological, inspires you? Do you think is representative of your character in some way?

(I'm dancing around the term "spirit animal" because I'm a white girl raised with Christianity and I have no damn right to co-opt other people's religious ideas. Yes I'm being PC. No that's not negotiable for me. Do what you like, but I'll be over here respecting other religions and cultures)

I've always been drawn to the phoenix, to the point where I'm considering it as a tattoo. I've been through so much shit I can't even tell you. I am immolated, that often hurts more than is reasonable or necessary, but I rise stronger than before. I've survived much I should not have done, scarred but not twisted or broken.

This year has been unmitigated shit and is finally beginning to turn a corner.

I rise again.

I find myself drawn to that of the golden dragon, a proud and noble animal who can be fair and just to those who show respect, and bring death and ruin to those who do wrong by them

it can only be a bear, really.

it just describes me on any number of levels - when the bbc did one of those “what is your daemon” quizzes when launching his dark materials, guess what daemon they chose for me?

The honey badger. It walks around angry. Gets bit by poisonous snakes and it has a nap, wakes up and eats the snakes, truly inspirational!

RAVEN. there a fantastic story in which the sun was threatened by a black hole, and the Raven which was white was sent into the black hole to close it, they did and they came back out black, I seen a raven with a white feather before and it made think.
