A moment of bliss

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

I tried this once before and it turned in a big row...going to try again

My bliss moment is the moment I finally get to sit down at the end of the day. Kids in bed, house cleaned, work finished...I sit with my book and fleecey blanket and just breathe.

What is your bliss moment?

At the moment it would be sitting on my bum, with a hot cup of coffee while the kids chill and aren't fighting basically exactly what's happening right now except I need to put the kettle on

Sitting in the garden with the mutts running wild gawping at the trees with a cup of coffee and silence.

First thing my kid does when he wakes up is give me a hug.

That's my bliss moment

Somewhere In The Ether…

Mine is probably pausing to behold a natural wonder; a sunset, a beautiful vista or perhaps the ocean lapping upon a shore.

That is lovely. My youngest is a real mummy's boy at the moment and I love it. Always telling me he loves me 'millyums'

A walk on the beach. Especially at this time of year as it’s so quiet

Manchester (she/her)

In the aftermath of sorting my shit out. Doesn't matter much the venue or what I'm doing. Just being able to breathe and know I'm in control, I've sorted it out, things are ok.

What's a bliss moment? As I dont seem to have one.

So I just whip out the chocolate and try and find it in food

I have loads so how to choose, I must be blessed.

When my daughter comes in in the morning, she is always so happy.

If I am stroking one of my cats and they lick me!

Getting the bath temperature Just Right!

When the dog comes and lays her head on my knee.

Comfortable silences with loved ones.

Seeing blue skies in the morning when I wake, and not having to move because my body is perfectly relaxed!

The first mouthful of tea, when it's just the right temperature and strength, when you are parched.

When you have been in metropolis and you see lots of lush green land.

Loads more but I am probably boring you!

I find bliss in all sorts of moments, I don't think I can narrow it down to a single thing - it could be a walk in the country, a kiss or moment of laughter with someone special, or a giddy greeting from my pooch when I get home

I'm too ragey at the moment to think about it. I'm hormonal and melancholy and if I was a dinosaur I'd be a cuntosaurus rex.

If I thought about it I'd just get more sad and ragey that the option isn't available to me right now

Actually OP this happened to me on Friday and I thought of you

“ Is it normal for fat middle aged men to grab my buggy while I’m on the phone and to shout ‘quick quick I’m stealing your baby!’ while laughing? Cause judging by his reaction of me glaring at him, I’m totally in the wrong...

I was on the phone to my doctor so when he said it I glared at him. Was trying to figure out if it was someone I know who’s being funny....then he said ‘oh lighten up’ and I realised I didn’t know him, so asked ‘what the fuck?’ And he said ‘good parents don’t go on their phone when they have their kids’ and walked away with his wife, moaning about me...”

(Copied from a group chat, couldn’t be arsed typing it again)

The sun is shining, it's not cold, not warm either. I close my eyes, the sun's warmth feels good on my face. I take a slow deep breath and feel total serenity.

.

Right now it would be that postcoital afterglow cuddles and gentle kisses and talk of nothing and everything.

And the soft hug of your partner when you feel exhausted but so blissful and he softly strokes you to sleep.
