I once threw a hot cross bun away from my parents pantry. My dad was mad with me but in my defence you could genuinely have hammered a nail in with it, it was that hard

There was nothing wrong with it. She thought I didn't like doughnuts.

I picked up some of these in Tesco the other week, only I didn't realise that they were chocolate and salted caramel - I'd just seen Hot Cross buns and grabbed them. I mean, hot cross buns are hot cross buns right, none of this various flavour nonsense.

Anyway, not knowing, I thought there was something not right with them.

They were bloody awful

I used to love Hot Cross buns. Doubt I'll ever touch them again after that
