Central

I won't pay for TV, other than having the license. I've often spent years not watching, it's just an occasional add-on to my life.

actually.... the good thing about sky and virgin is that they are a very good tool to use when haggling against each other....

every 12 months just say that you are thinking of leaving one for the other.... and watch them bend over backwards to keep you.. especially in times like this...

I don't think between flitting between both.. i have actually paid "full price" for a package in about 5 yrs......

bet you have! anyone who believes they are beating the multinational company is a fool

they are not going to give things away for free!! they have a base rate they have to charge then bump t up to factor in the 'haggling' between companies

MTE.

I do watch some TV, but refuse to cough up money to get a few more channels that I might like amid the dross that I'll also be paying for.

Anyway, can't get Virgin. My estate managers won't let them dig up the pavements.

Sky

Virgin media have just blocked internet sites like pirate bay so people can't download anymore.

"sky or virgin? who do you think provides the best service? "

It depends what sort of package you want. If you are looking for a bundle including internet access then virgin has the edge but sky has other advantages. contact both ans see what they can tailor to suit your personal needs.

Bucks

in our last place we had virgin cable and, before they upgraded their encryption, could view every channel (even PPV heehee) for free using a Box ...

what learnt was would never pay for Sky as , the movie channels in particular , only offer a limited number of films that they re-run over and over again ..

here we have Freesat and a LoveFilm subscription - which at less than £15 a month for unlimited DVDs and online viewing is far better value than what the Sky offer

Never had Virgin so cannot comment, but I have had Sky (and worked for them) and to be honest, for the 1st 3 months it's good, a bit of a novelty then it gets repetitive.

I dare say if your into sport or movies, it maybe worth the money but we are into neither, so we don't bother.

Horses for courses though
