One for the men.

Would you leave your baby behind safe with nannies or would you have to have that baby with you while off for a few days?

Seems there are two of the same thread going by different OPS who have commented on each other’s threads so only option I see is a copy and paste job of my comment to both and as I found this one second it gets this update as well.

“I may not be a mum but I am a dad and I do struggle to leave them alone, I work shifts and I miss them so much when I work nights as I just don’t see them, so for me yes I can leave them for a day or two but it is hard and they are no longer tiny (both at school) so between wife and I we try to find the balance of work and play which sometimes works and sometimes means my dear wife feels like a single parent which isn’t helpful.

However with the help on grand parents (nannies as I think Op was actually referring rather than the Mary popping style nannie) we are able to sneak nights out for play and fun like tonight. We get to drop them off and go out out for the night and we will see what happens at the end of the night as to how much extra fun happens and with who.”

I’m not sure if this really answers the question.

But me and my partner put our daughter into nursery at around 8 months old, I have no issue leaving her there as the rate she has come on since starting to fantastic.

I also have no issue leaving her with grandparents for sleepovers and we have done that since she was only a few months old.

As a result she isn’t clingy to us as parents and absolutely adores her family, it’s also great to see her grandparents enjoying having an input into her upbringing.

But I wouldn’t just leave her with a babysitter for several days just because I was off work, I really enjoy spending time on my own with her.

I mean that there is one thread for women so another was started for men. Just so both genders are covered.

I could have that all wrong. Don’t listen to me
