You've seen their posts on the forum and like their wit or banter or intelligence or sarcasm so you check their profile and think, hello, we've got things in common! So, you message the lovely lady, long before you check the message has been read, then deleted, but if it hasn't been how long before, if you dare, second message?

I would almost always not send a second message if the first was deleted. I have been known to think of an intersting title for a second message with the content saying nothing more than "made you look"

If the first message was deleted, that was the DEFINITIVE answer then!

When that happens to me, it's noted in Private Notes, then added to my Block List.

Saves a whole lot of hassle!

Didn’t the original post say if it hadn’t been deleted how long would you wait to send another one?

If I haven’t read it deleted a message within a week it’s pretty sure to have dropped off the first page and I’ll never get round to seeing it.

The site gives you a warning message if you havent had a reply and try to message a second time. Not that it seems to deter people.

One guy I knew through here, said if he didn't get a reply after the 1st message, or it was deleted, his attitude was, "they're just playing hard to get, so I resend till I break down their refusing!"

Yeah, that'll surely piss them off big time!

Well, given that site FAQ's make it VERY clear that a non-reply constitues a 'no, thank you', there is NEVER a case for sending a second message.

Unless your recipient posts a status claiming to have emptied their inbox and asking anyone who'd message to send again - which again, to me seems rather pointless as they run the risk of running into the same reason for rmptying their inbox in the first place

I had an initial message deleted by a woman I used to message when I was on here before. I sent a second message and named it 'shame' and said it was shame she'd deleted because we used to chat. She messaged back saying she remembered. We've now moved onto Kik. With a view to meeting.

Yes. Looking at profiles without opening the message seems to be more common recently. But some women still bulk delete without looking at either
