There isn't a sauce in existence that makes bacon taste better

Yes to trimmed smoked bacon, thick cut for extra meatiness *plus* a bit of smoked streaky where the fat has turned to delicious crunchy crispness, so you get a contrast of textures.

No ketchup - ever - but barbecue sauce or even piccalilli sauce

Thick cut slices of freshly baked white crusty bread, best back bacon from a proper butcher (none of the pre-packed crap)

Fry the bacon until fat goes borderline crispy.

Dip inner sides of bread in frying pan.

Make your sarnie, do not add anything else, especially disgusting sauces of any type.

Bucket of tea strong enough to stand spoon up in.

Eat, drink, enjoy.

Peanut butter works very well with smoky bacon.

It's also good instead of normal butter on a crisp buttie. All the crisp crumbs stay in the buttie as well.

Cut all the fat off the bacon first, fry that until its starting to crisp, then add the lean meat. Fry on a high heat, then move everything to the outer parts of the pan to make room for the slice of bread you are going to fry. Eat the bacon on the sandwich style of your choosing but the fried bread should be eaten while still really hot, with a bit of salt and pepper.
