Not my real name/age/town. Same as most I have met. Discretion is paramount, and will only reveal true details after a few meets, when I am comfortable with thw people I have met.

We use fake names. Too easy to find people on facebook and the likes with real names, and my kids are on my facebook! Have actually had quite a few people giving us links to their facebook page so we can see more pics of them (before even chatting to them!)... they must be mental!

Yes - it's a big bad world in London and I am 47. Even real pictures of me. It does mean I can't complain about the messages I get addressed to 'hun' and 'sexi' but that is a small price to pay.

I tell meets my real name...I'd forget an alias and would just ignore them when they were speaking to me otherwise! I know people that use alias's so I tend to just call them 'hun' and the like in clubs to save a slip up x

If people think not using their real name protects them from exposure, i would be worried...if someone wants to reveal all about you they will, its considering that and the implications it would have that matters.

I use a diminuative of my real name, but everyone in the "real" world knows me by a nickname and many don't even know the name I was christened with (I do give my nickname out to people I meet)....I also have my location as Arse end of Universe, but it's amazing how many fellow Cumbrians message me saying "Hiya, you must be from *******" so I think I may have shot myself in the foot there!

i dont list my location or have my name on my profile, but ive said my name and where i live several times in chat or in the forums

im not quite sure what to make of all this internet paranoia. Doubt anyone would want to 'pretend' to be me and nick my identity, ive nothing of use to anyone. IF the unthinkable should happen ive confidence in the police/fraud teams that issues would be dealt with. However i refuse to live in a bubble wrapped world because something might happen.

I'm TD or tempting or devil unless you've actually met me.

It's just another layer of my 'I meet strangers off the internet for sex' precautions. Its a quick and easy tell if I've met someone by whether they know my name. And people who have been told by others get blocked, along with the person who told.

You don't get my number till we've met and you deffo don't get my address unless we're very good friends. And if I come to yours my friend gets a text with profile name, name, address and phone number in.

I'm a single woman who lives alone, I don't want to be a crime statistic so I take lots of precautions.
