"In today’s day n age shouldn’t we all take a little bit of care and pride of our pubes? Personally seeing pubes au naturale is horrid!" It's all down to personal choice, OP and a full on bush/smooth or groomed area does NOT define a person. My preference is, nether regions groomed or shaved. However, if I really fancied the bloke and there was a connection, a full bush wouldn't put me off him . Incidentally mines changes on whether I have time/can be bothered or on mood.

So expressing a preference by putting down those who don't match that preference with unnecessarily negative terms such as 'vile', 'yuck', 'revolting', 'disgusting', 'ewwww', or 'foul' - all of which I've regularly seen on threads about pubic hair is okay because it prevents the world becoming a 'fluffy wuffy place'? By all means have a preference but surely you can own it in a positive way without resorting to childish or body shaming remarks? There are many who only find slimmer people attractive for example. Would it therefore be acceptable for them to express that preference in the forums by referring to larger people as 'vile'? After all we can't decide how people speak

"Why oh why do so many *still* assume if someone chooses to retain their pubes in a manner they don't find appealing (which is fine) that by default the person(s) concerned can't possibly be taking care of, or pride in, their appearance? I'm 'natural' almost always because my skin's very sensitive and the alternative is, for me, a time consuming chore I can't usually be arsed with that usually ends in an unattractive and/or painful skin rash, nasty ingrown hairs or cuts. Now *that's* 'horrid' and it wreaks havoc on my self esteem! People style/alter myriad aspects of their appearance in all sorts of different ways - from the hair on their head, to tattoos and piercings, to bodybuilding, cosmetic surgery or even their clothing and makeup choices. Obviously we all have personal preferences and may be turned off by some of them. Doesn't mean they're not taking care of themselves though. To start this thread off by saying 'in this day and age...' isn't simply an observation about different pube preferences but an implied criticism towards people (and it's women who get most stick about it usually) who have the temerity to keep a full on bush, as if there's 'no excuse' to do so and they're somehow being lazy or letting the side down! " Very well said

Because they don't say a bush is vile "for THEM" (and even that without some balance as to why *could* be seen as derogatory) the tendency is to say it's vile full stop - which is both derogatory and actually picking on anyone that does have a bush. I'm not saying anyone should conform to anything either, other than common decency and respect - and using derogatory terms to express a preference, I think we would both agree, is neither of those things. I'm all for freedom of speech and defend anyones right to hold whatever preference they want, but personally think that describing something as "vile" "disgusting" or worse goes beyond expressing a simple preference.

If you don't like the bush fine but can't shame a person for having one. Someone said on the forum about the bush being unnatural and disgusting... if it was unnatural it wouldn't be there in the first place. The disposable razor and marketing to increase purchases started all the shaming of body hair.

" I'm all for freedom of speech and defend anyones right to hold whatever preference they want, but personally think that describing something as "vile" "disgusting" or worse goes beyond expressing a simple preference. I think feet are vile, I don't touch anyone else's and if anyone came near mine they would be told to sod off. I defend my right to say that no matter who agrees with it I don't like feet either, to the point where I physically gag if someone touches mine but people have feet so am much as I don't like mine or other people's they are there and if I want to have sex, I have to put up with feet being around me. It should be the same for body hair surely? Everyone's personal preference and not dictated by what other people like or don't like? I think you have missed the point of my post. None of my posts say that people should or shouldn't have body hair "
