..serene?

I drove home from work today and the sun was shining fiercely. The driver-side window was rolled down while a dance song blared from my radio and the wind buffeted against my face. Although chilly, the sunlight and summer undertones of the song lifted my spirits like a leap of hopeful joy, that is usually repressed by the overcast and somber clouds. I love the feeling of the wind and the motion of driving. I feel carefree, unbothered and as if in that moment I am not needed to attend to life’s stresses. I live for those happy moments where my mind is calm and quiet. It was most certainly a serene drive home.

What things, which may seem small to others, make your day? What makes you lovely people feel serene and content?

The sea ... water ... fire

I could sit and watch them and feel at my most calmest.

Anywhere outdoors from the huzzle and buzzle...even better if it's a small island.

I love watching a wood fire. Can get lost in the golden embers for ages and it makes me happy.

The countryside - no people, pooch for company, sat under a tree listening to the birds. Bliss

Glasgowish

Sheep and cows with their young in the fields. Daffodils and bitterflies and blossom on the trees.

Have to agree with fire and the sea. Also a woodland carpeted with bluebells. Just sitting there... watching and listening.
