I'm kind, sometimes, when it's deserved. Depends on the persons attitude towards me really. But the ones that matter know I'm always there for them

Problem is in society as a whole there are people that are abusive, so no chance of thinking people in here are all going to be good. Some people just don't realise they are hurtful, or even care - the "I just say it how it is" brigade. Best to just put them in your block list and ignore them.
