The chances of dieing whilst onboard a ship are amazingly small ( even less than a plane ) .

But if your name is Hugh Williams, it's almost impossible .

In 1664 , a ship in the Menai straights sunk , killing all 81 crew , except 1 guy , called Hugh Williams .

In 1785 another ship sank , again on the Menai straights, killing all 60 onboard, except one man , called Hugh Williams.

In 1820 , a ship sank , guess where , yes the Menai straights, killing all 20 souls, except one guy named Hugh Williams.

A coincidence you may say !!

Well it gets weirder .

In 1940 , a British Warship was sunk by a German mine , only 2 people survived .

And guess what their names were , yep , they were both named Hugh Williams.

That's my fucked up fact of the day.
