I won't be meeting anyone for a while, if everyone is sensible the whole thing will be over very quickly with luck and then we can all carry on as normal

Wakefield

At present there is little risk in most areas of the country, as with anything involving sex we look at the risks and make a decision.

"Yes. I'm not meeting anyone. "

I feel a little depressed now and I dont even know you lol but you look devine

I might wear a mask if I'm using public transport like when I fly to Glasgow and Manchester, but I'll not stop meeting. Unless the person is very sick in which case I would hope they keep themselves to themselves anyway, but if a sick person turned up for a meet I would have to make my excuses and leave lol

If it is less a threat than the common cold, why is it in the news every day with so much hype.

Death rate falling in China,

but rising world wide quicker than it did in China.

Yes it’s on the bloody news every 2 minutes so it must be serious surely

Why lock down people or wear masks

None of this happens with a common cold does it

Everyone has different opinions

And predicted no available vaccine for months, “ unlike the common cold “.

A cup of lemsip will not fix this one.

Some of us have to be cautious with any virus, as we have close family members with serious health issues that it could kill...like cystic fibrosis and MND ...so being sensible and limiting ourselves to exposure is just to protect others, I’d recover easily enough but I’d never forgive myself if I passed it on...common sense !!!

Yes lots of scaremongering going on at the moment but I’d rather err on the side of caution and not kill my grandson or brother in law...if that means I’m being a sheep then “baaaaaa”

It's increased exposure to other people, so yes the chances of catching it will go up. However it of itself is less risky than going out to crowded and tightly packed areas like in a train, or in a lift. At some point it will be the luck of the draw that you meet up with people who have it.

I will continue as normal.

Normal for me includes regularly washing my hands, coughing and sneezing into tissues and avoiding those who may be adversely affected if I am unwell.

Flu is just as dangerous to the elderly and those with a compromised immune system as Corvid-19.

I think the masks are useless

If you are going to get it you will

Doesn’t help with the kind of jobs we are in or even holidays abroad coming up

Airports and planes are great places full,of germs but if we are careful and as mentioned just use common sense

We won’t be going to a club this weekend now. I can’t afford to be off work quarantined, we’ve been told to work remotely and not to go into our offices.

Have you heard this morning that the virus has mutated to two new strains in China.

The report that was out a few days ago said they had discovered

that it has two strains.. one less aggressive than the other. The one that is more aggressive is the strain most people are catching.

They have also found that the milder strain seems more common in children who dont seem to be catching the virus much at all. In fact I read that only 9 infants in total had caught the virus in china ...

There is no cure or vaccine for the common cold either.

You are though, more at risk from the normal flu virus and there is a vaccine for that.

Don't see anyone saying I won't meet because I might catch flu.

Need to get some perspective here.
