I miss having a man around the house...

... to fix a panel of hooks that has fallen off the wall, to paint the shed, to fix the fence, to repaint the kitchen walls, etc. etc. etc...

Easier to find traders to do all the above and more, than having to go through the hassle of finding and vetting a suitable life partner I'd say!

alternatively... DIY lol... lots of tips online on "how to"

though wallpaper I don't think I'll ever get hang of...

or hire said handymen, seduce them *and* get the jobs done lol xx

Even with a man about the house, I had to do all the DIY. I can plaster, plumb, minor electrics, paint, hang wallpaper. make up flat packs that stay together. My husband even had a T shirt made for me that says 'DIY DIVA' I know my limitations and either call a friend or get someone in but having a man about the house sometimes isn't all it cracks up to be. Of course, I've traded that husband in for one who is just as good, if not better than me at DIY - we only argue as to who gets to use the power drill etc lol

My EX was brilliant at DIY...just wish I'd paid more attention

It's still a great feelin' though finishing a room you thought ya'd never get done - not neccessarily perfect but still feels good

Never needed a man for all that and still dont...way too independent so have always done stuff around the house and garden,no better feeling than standing back and saying ive done that.

I was bereft when my ex husband moved out for good .......... he took MY toolbox and all MY power tools with him. Bassa !!!

I have a man around the house and still have to use tradesmen.

Mr B's talents unfortuntely don't stretch to D.I.Y he is dangerous with a drill or hammer etc. But is a dab hand with superglue.
