If you're at a party and you're hitting the point where you're done how do you express it?

I've been to many parties but mainly with the same friends and we all have our different signals.

One of them simply fucks off to bed, another says their goodnights, for me, well, I normally don my onesie and everyone knows I'm done, had enough, and may well be snoring in the next hour. I'll happily chat away during this time but don't fucking touch me unless you're B or you're sitting on the same sofa and you rest your legs on me kinda thing.

These are people I know so so well though and I'm kind of unsure how to express it with people who don't know me and my ways.

Would you find it weird or rude if I did that, or would you simply understand that means I'm not quite done socialising and not wanting to be a party pooper but I've hit my limit for the play part?

What are your signals?

What's the "norm"?

If I'm out and I get to a point I've had enough, I'll just leave.

I don't like goodbyes, I find them too awkward

Like most things in swinging, there isn't a norm. Just many variations.

If you suddenly got changed into a onesie and were clearly chilling out and relaxing, then that's quite clear I'd imagine.

If someone did ask if you're still playing, it's easily explained anyway I suppose.

If I'm out with mates and I've had enough apparently I give them "the look" no idea what it is, but apparently they all know and recognise it

I'm just worried it may come across rude, coz that's not my intention. Like you say, literally chilling and relaxing.

I'm generally the same there too. House parties I've been to I usually stop over x

Yeah, that's me at a club rather than an all night house party.

I'm just so used to crashing where I land kinda thing, onesie and blanket over me, see ya in the morning

Yep, that's me! Minus the tea

I can go from right in the midst to physical shutdown quite quickly, and I don't want that to come across selfish or ignorant if that makes sense.
