Probably boring to some of you but I've just watched an amazing documentary on Water .

Did you know that every drop of water on Earth is millions or even billions of years old .

Every drop you drink has once been billions of miles away in the universe , and during it's time on Earth has passed through the systems of Dinosaurs, Trees , Plants , Hedgehogs and Duck Billed Platypus.

When I’m multi day climbing I always fill my bottles as high as possible and add a steriliser tab in case others (and sheep) have pissed in the water. Seems pretty pointless now...

What I don't understand is why isn't it flammable?

It contains two atoms of hydrogen and one of oxygen.

If you break the components down then yes you can burn the hydrogen, if you go further and split the hydrogen atoms .. well, think history tells us what happens !!

Yes I heard that Anglia water authority have been secretly keeping it in big reservoirs and only letting small amounts out that get into people's houses via pipes and magic !!! X
