Group socials? Do they happen

Posted this in another chat area but I think this one has much more traffic.

It would be a great mingling opportunity and I was wondering does this happen outside of clubs and events?

You know, just everyone turns up at a coffee shop at a certain place and time, or anywhere else really? As a newish member it would be a great way to socialise with others from the scene

Doesnt seem to be much of that going on in my area. Even for clubs we are very limited in choices.

I went out with 5 fabbers for a social. Just a few wines and a chat. It was fun without the ‘fun’.

Sounds like an opportunity waiting to happen, why don't you organise one?

Cheeseville, Somerset

Like a flash mob?

Everyone turns up at Starbucks (other coffee houses are available), gets the barista to write their profile name on their cup and then someone starts playing Cisco's 'thong song' and everyone starts stripping off?

Then gets arrested.....

A

Wish someone would. I'd be worried about the where and when of it. And no one showing up lol

The Sussex Socials (look for the thread) work well and it’s just a pub. No one else in the pub knows. No fab names announced loudly or saucy dress code.

I like the idea of a social in a quiet pub, anyone care to set one up?
