And it finally died after 7.5 years of faithful service.

RIP my trust combi microwave, you have served me well.

To combi or not to combi, that's the question, as I do not use the microwave function much, however, it is handy to have.

Don't bother trying to get it fixed as the cost of fixing it is almost as much as buying a new one - and then it goes bang again a month later!! GRRRRR

Check the fuses in the back, we did and it saved us a fortune buying another

The interior light went a few months ago, and it had been getting louder and louder, so it did not come as a surprise when it went bang!

Bless it for finishing my oven chips and onion rings before it died!

I ate my dinner before I fixed the fuse in the fuse box, and the oven is truly dead.

I really missed my combi microwave as I fancied cheese on toast and a sausage roll for breakfast this morning, and had to use the big oven.

It has not been used for some time, and it was quite smokey when I tried to use the grill etc...

Ah that is quite sad isn't it, its like the last supper. I felt really sad when my kettle of 15 years died. And of course I'm hoping that my grandmas kitchen knife which has to be at least 60 years old, and its used every day here, will outlive me.

Gosport

Had a similar moment a few weeks back, I was running the grill on the microwave when the main breaker in the house tripped. I didn't think I was running anything else at the time so extracted the built in microwave, which wad a job and a half on its own and tested its fuse which was fine.

Next went to the breakers which wouldn't reset. Ended up having to disconnect everything from the sockets and then go around item by item to track down that it was actually a coffee maker causing the problem but it took ages to track down.
