Its a fairly standard guy message. Hi. Or hey guys. Or what's up. Or just xxx

Have all of those on a daily bases and that's the whole mes, not just the subject. It's slightly better than just a dick pic

Of course not. I can do more than that. I’m just saying that some people are shy and they just don’t know what to write. Sometimes I just write a simple “Hi. How are you?” and I know it’s stupid because it looks like I don’t put some effort into my message. But you are right, just “yo”? Wtf

"Hi, how are you?" is a pretty shit message, but even that is tenfold better than "Yo".

I would reason that even the average shy nervous bloke saddled with an IQ of about 70 could manage those 4 words, therefore "Yo" comes across as the message of a complete numb skull who won't really appeal to anyone, aside from a woman who is one step from being a vegetable too of course.

Which the OP doesn't present as.

There are numerous threads from guys who don't get replies from people they contact and so they ask for help with their profile. I frequently say they should also get feedback on what they write because presumably people think this is a reasonable way to start a conversation here, and it plainly isn't. Virtually nobody ever takes up my suggestion. Luke
