I’m going through a spell of just being bored with life in general, I know they say only boring people get bored but is that really true? I’m not seeking attention just trying to get out of this rut

Brighton - even Hove!

Meeting some ‘interesting females’ might help.

Bored/boring is a state of mind tbh and with what you've been/going through I'm not surprised ... but only you can change it. Take up a new hobby? You have to make yourself coz only you can change it!

The cinnamon trust are always looking for people to walk the dogs of the elderly and terminally ill. It's a great charity if you fancy doing a bit of volunteering.

I learnt to kite surf in Norfolk x

I must say , honestly I think only boring people post about their boredom on public forums x

I genuinely do not have enough time left in my life to think about and do all the things that pacify my brain

Are you seriously suggesting you know everything there is to know ? For if not Google something you do not understand and try to understand it x

I’m restricted in what I can do physically due to being involved in an accident and as an active person it’s difficult to accept.

Have total and utter empathy for this. I took up crochet and joined a club the last time I went through a spell of very restricted activity. The club was purely social so sitting listening to invited speakers and then tea and biscuits and sometimes a game or craft activity. It wasn't my usual idea of fun but I met some lovely people. Can you find a crafty hobby you can do at home, order the bits you need for home delivery?

Boredom is not amusing the brain? I suggested researching questions you find fascinating by using the internet?

From someone whos experienced it, sounds like your depressed, id suggest taking a break from here for starters, focusing on you. Im not sure how restricted you are from your accident but yoga is gentle on the body and good for the mind, its helped me loads. Go speak to your doctor too and remember its okay to not be okay x

You also suggested that he's a boring person for feeling bored and pointed out how little time you have to be bored. Which is lovely, but when you have a physical restriction, especially a new one, you become depressed and lose interest in things you might previously have enjoyed. Unless you've experienced it, you might struggle to empathise.

Do you like reading or making things? Can you do stuff like gardening? I don't mean landscaping huge areas but growing some herbs, sowing some tomato seeds or some flowers for the spring.

Do you want to do something completely diff from your usual or previous activities.

When I had a long period of inactivity I admit that I watched a lot of telly but also Mr N used to load me in the car and take me on the road with him
