Are you intrigued as to what his victory speech was on 8th May 1945?

Do you think it is a good idea to give a dead man such a platform..his speech will be played in open spaces as part of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2.

Or could they have just put it on TV?

Part of the reason I asked the question is the recent fad for the resurrection of dead people through music and film.

London

It's an interesting point.. We seem to be much more exercised about commeratiom these days. I don't recall the 50th anniversary in 1995 being a big deal.

I don't remember the 50th anniversary being such a big thing either. A 'victory speech' straight after Brexit? Of course it's important what is in it I can't imagine it being warmongering, but...
