Life on Mars

I think it seems we are on the verge of proving life exists elsewhere besides earth.

Phobos and Mars seem may now have microbial life, would the fact life may exist elsewhere be a blessing and we as a race can accept we are not alone, or will this be something humanity doesn’t want to accept?

Considering the size and age of the universe , it’s statistically impossible that intelligent life doesn’t exist and in multiple forms and places. Possibly billions of different intelligent species out there. So why haven’t we found them

1/ we have. The gov keep it secret

2/ we are not advanced enough yet to find them

3/ they are all around us. we are not advanced enough to perceive them

4/ they’ve seen what we’re like and have cloaked themselves for protection

5/ we are enslaved by them producing energy for them

6/ David Ike, the queen, reptiles, Tom cruise

7/ were alone - God made us

What do you think ?

a few of these points come under what’s known as the fermi paradox. look into it if you havent already, its my go to answer whenever asked about life in the universe!

Interesting , I think 3/ we’ve not really scratched the surface of perception, additional senses and dimensions, were very linear and conservative still relying on on classical and flawed science to understand the universe. You know we still can’t make a proper made to measure human eye or heart in a factory for ill people and think an Iphone is clever

The universe is calculated to be 14 Billion Years old

There are potentially 50 Sextillion planets in the universe that could support life (Drake equation, don't shoot me).

The earth is 4 billion years old with complex life evolving around 300 million years ago

Even with that number of planets being habitable, the chances of human beings encountering complex life-forms (not intelligent, just complex) over a 14 billion year timespan is extraordinary low. If you narrow this down to our own galaxy, where habitable planets run at 40 billion or so, the likelihood is even less.

So unless convergent evolution is taking place on planets, which are habitable in synchrony with our own planets evolution, we are only ever likely to find small traces of life (if it has existed elsewhere, complex or intelligent), or remnants.

I'll get me coat

Interesting but that’s only your opinion based on what you have read and yet you could read something else which will tell you life and intelligent life is out there

From what I have read we will find out if life exists elsewhere in our lifetimes albeit microbial or intelligent

My guess is and it is a guess based on what I’ve read is that intelligent life is or has been in existence in our galaxy and beyond the problem is finding it given the immense distances of even the closest planets it will be hard but we find it

I think 8/ intelligent life is to far away from earth for us to know.

We are like a spec of dust in a vast cosmic arena. I bet there are other planets supporting life and they wonder and ask the same questions as us.

The sad thing is we may never know.

We need to find a habitable planet with less advanced life do we can wipe them out and colonise it. Over poptlulation and global warming sorted

I think our technology is far short of being able to do that just yet and we might not have enough time for technology to advance that far so we could but your idea is spot on
