Pro’s and cons of couples meeting alone, anyone else tried or considered it?

Hi, we are just wondering what people’s thoughts are about couples who have, or are considering going down the route of meeting alone as well as continuing to meet as a couple?

Be 100% sure it's what you *both* want and are comfortable with - especially given that the lady of the couple will potentially get a lot more interest than the male half (although with the right approach and attitude reality is in terms of "quality" it should be pretty evenly balanced).

For some it can be an incredibly fulfilling and fun step, for others it's the first step on the road to relationship disaster zone - it all depends how confident you are in each other, and comfortable you *both* are with taking that step.

We have always had the same outlook, it’s a shared experience and we have enjoyed it, it’s just something that come up in conversation recently and we wondered If it worked out for other people or it could be a recipe for disaster. X

That is what we are both worried about! We have both agreed that in theory it would be nice, but we have a little bit of doubt about whether it would work as we do enjoy the experience of being together and sharing enjoyment. If we meet alone we won’t have that mutual experience.

Communicate,set your boundaries and stick to them

Most of all ,don't do anything that makes your partner uncomfortable or unhappy.

It does take trust ,but i love hearing about Jacks meets .

My wife set up a meet for me alone much to my insistence that it wasn’t what I wanted.

It’s never even been suggested again.

Every couple will have their own things that work. Talking honestly and actually listening to each other is the key to successful lifestyle choices.

Don’t just hear what you want to hear.

Talk talk and talk some more.....don't be afraid of saying or hearing something that might offend the other just do it with the love kindness and respect you have for eachother.... also don't forget who is your priority, if it doesn't work for one it doesn't work for both. All the best in your adventures OP
