"I don’t like workmates coming into my space for some strange reason. But friends and family mostly have an open door policy they can stay whenever they want or just come round. I also host fab wise. I just don’t like work people knowing my business. " I know what you mean. I dont like to be involved socially with people at work either - to be honest I don't like most of them so I wouldn't invite them over anyway

"I love having partys i restyle my house every 3 years'ish its quite a passion. My house when you walk in its 1930s but modern/contemporary inside but none descript in terms of who lives there.. i dont have any givaways in the house who lives there no personal giveaways i live there i like the showhome feel. My garage is very personal to me and like a aladins cave " Is that an Art Deco with modern twist? I do love Deco a lot

"I'm curious or nosey, so I'm interested. There have been sites that collect profile pics from sites like this, with detailed critiques of decor, tastes etc. Imagine if your home got done - and they'd not ignore your splayed arse, or whatever, whilst going for it "

"My OCD means my place is always looking like a showroom, i'm usually late for work due to straightening shit & making everything look neat Funny thing is I do it all purely for me only, don't really care what anyone else thinks " Same here I was dusting at 5am friday morning even though I'd already done it on thursday.

My garage is very personal to me and like a aladins cave Is that an Art Deco with modern twist? I do love Deco a lot" Sort of, ive kept some original features but also added things modern like theres alot of natural concrete finish and a ultra modern almost clinical kitchen, very tall Victorian skirting boards which are traditional, ive rebuilt the house so and raised the whole ceiling from 2.5m to almost 3meter, exterior is white with grey windows grey roof, warm maple wood details. My mum said it feels like walking into a nuclear bunker. My neighbours hate it because its not 'fitting' with the traditional village feel... i love it thats all that matters

"No. I'm never too curious about other people's houses. If I like someone I like them. Have to say that if their home was dirty i'd probably not want to visit but untidy is okay. My nightmare is when you visit someone's house and they want to show you around. Or others that want to show you their stuff and tell you where they got it....... like ...... oh tony and i got this bull in Barcelona .... cost a fortune to ship. etc etc etc " yeah I know what you mean Peoples houses have no bearing on how I feel about them - I used to have a friend that was a hoarder I tried to help her - but it was impossible! And long stories about furniture coming from a Hessian sack from Outer Mongolia are a yawn fest. Most of my furniture is donated or from IKEA

"I have plaque that reads, "friends welcome, family by appointment only" it seems to do the trick I know someone who has one that says... "Are you curious how other people live? What their tastes are, how clean and tidy they are etc .. Do you like to invite friends into your home or do you like to keep your space your own? I'm nosey " Mrs wouldn't entertain until I decorated dinning room and hall stairs and landing. Now it's front room and bedroom incorporating new carpets in both. Me thinks she's using sex as a bargaining chip

"I love looking at peoples decor. Interesting photos or ornaments, what books they read, music they listen to etc. I’m quite nosey like that. I like homely quirky cosy homes, not into sparse show homes personally. I don’t invite anyone around here as it’s not my home. It’s not decorated in my style and it doesn’t have my choice of furnishings. " I prefer homely and quirky too - I moved 8 weeks ago and my flat looks empty I like plants and stuff that's personal to me. I wish I had more time on my hands to decorate!

"Modern / contemporary and extremely minimalist - I can't be living in clutter. A few pieces of artwork are displayed. Cleverly designed lighting creates the perfect ambience dependent on the time of day / time of year etc. The kitchen is very much the centre piece of my home and is where most of the living takes place..." I think a lot of men like the minimal show home look. My ex always wanted to know why I "needed" accessories for the home

"I grew up in a very open house; family and friends letting themselves in, kids we were fostering coming and going. It was noisy and hectic and warm and messy. I think how I live now may be a direct result of growing up in such chaos. I dont like people in my space - not family, not friends, not lovers. I will host dinners but it's a relief to see people go, and I will trade my solitude for sex, but I won't even answer the buzzer if I'm not expecting anyone." My intercom volume is switched off, so if they dont have my phone number I wouldn't even know they're here

I grew up in a chaotic messy home where the back door was always open for family and friends. Neighbors were always knocking at the door and I was never alone growing up until I shut myself in my room as a teenager. I continued to live in an open house as a young adult with my partner and we used to have people drop over daily - pre mobile phone days. I would cook and entertain and love all of it. As I'm getting older the more I want my space to be mine and clean and tidy. No mess, no other people, kids, animals or people knocking at the door unexpectedly. ( Grinch Face )

Probably about ten times what I could afford but it's lovely and a great location.....but the decor is awful That cheered me up " Haha yeah - I love my new flat it's in a conservation area blahh blah but it lacks all the character the rest of the houses on the street have.
