Ladies Ticking a mail as unread?

Hello Ladies,

Out of curiosity, why do ladies read a message and then mark it as unread?

Personally I’d like to see it deleted ior just left that is has been read.

Then I know im not for them.

Any input?

On my single profile I'll put back as unread if I'm unable to reply at that moment rather than it look rude to not have replied and just left.

Couples I'll put back to unread till Sir has seen or as above unable to reply at that moment.

F.

Usually so I can come back to it later as don’t have time to give it the reply it deserves

To remind us to read it properly at a later time and then either reply or do something else. We reply to any messages that show a bit of effort, but you can't tell if it's worth a proper reply until you've had a quick read. If it's worth a reply but no time, we'll put unread and reply later.

We do sometimes mark as unread but that’s only due to being busy and we do like to try and reply to all messages so we mark as unread as a reminder to get back to it later on...

Same here. We'll possibly read the message and then mark is as unread so we remember to go back and reply if we are busy or get distracted.

I do this a lot. If I quickly come online and skim read a message if I need to think about a reply I’ll mark as unread and come back to it later so I can give it the time it deserves to reply x x x

Honestly? Dunno. I read it, mark it as unread and delete it.

I read every single message I receive.

I prefer if it’s deleted as then I know they are not interested

Because something has caught my attention enough to want to reply, perhaps when I have more time or put thought into a response

Send then delete out your sent box, you won't worry about it then

If they don't reply they are either desperate for you but were just too busy or they don't fancy you. Either way you have done your bit. Move on.

Threads on this always make me laugh.

Imagine the postman putting some letters through my letter box. The people that sent them keep saying to me :- ' take my letter off the gas cupboard. Put it on the table. I can see you've read it now. You need to answer me now. Do it. I want it. Yes I know it's your letter and your letter box but I want what I want. I KNOW YOU DIDNT ASK for the letter but im in charge of how you deal with your mail ....... Do it!

The moment you start looking to see if messages have been read, is the moment you take Fab far too seriously in my opinion.

Because most single women on here can pick whoever they want as so many of us single guys on here. I personally think it is damn rude. If you don't want to reply then simply delete it

Don’t be as needy. The less you care the more attractive you’ll be to people.

Why get bent out of shape about how others manage their profiles? It's not rude in the slightest - by not deleting a message they can see if you've messaged before is one reason they might choose to keep it.

It really is as simple as if they reply they *might* be interested, if they don't they're not.

I really don't get guys that continually check their sent messages to see what has happened to them - all it seems to do is wind them up and achieves nothing.

And for the record it's not just ladies that mark messages unread either - I often will if I don't have time to reply or want to think about what I'm going to reply.

I'd prefer if my message is read then responded/deleted at least I know they're not interested.

Leaving it unread or marking as unread has me wonder whether sending pm's is worth it at all, so I stick to the forums

I just noticed one was read at some point and then when I’d gone back in it was marked unread.

Was a just looking to see the thoughts on why people do it, an have had some good responses

Please note, I’m not one to get upset or keep refreshing the page to see when a message has been read.

Everyone can manage their account as they please, we are certainly not going to be everyone’s cuppa tea.

Was just an observation with some great inputs, thanks ladies and gents
