It would have been Kurt Cobain's 53rd birthday today. Gonna spend the day like I usually do playing Nirvana and Nirvana associated music like the Pixies, Sonic Youth and the Vaselines. Always wondered what sort of music he'd be making these days.

Going to start with the William S Burroughs poem he played on called A Priest They Called Him.

He'd be Michael Gira from Swans. Look at his photo!

I feel like I can trace back all my intervening cultural life, aesthetics and attitude back to being OBSESSED with him 20 years ago. Definite before and after moment.

Would have liked to see him work Michael Gira. Both are very influential to me

Elton John has been very active in the hard rock scene appearing on records with Queens of the Stoneage and most recently Ozzy Osbourne.

Think Kurt would have stuck with the more avant garde noise rock side of things.

If there was no Nirvana there’s no Foo Fighters... listening to Dave Grohl talk about Kurt is heart warming

Unplugged in New York is still one of the finest recordings in history imo

Really? He was against all that commercial mainstream shit. Was big reason why he killed himself, he detested the fame. If you think thats what he would have done rather kept his artistic integrity then, you dont who he was.

People would be nagging on social media for them to do another tour while complaining about him and the rest of the band not looking like they did back in '91.

It's 200 years this year since Beethoven died. That's more my thing. Luke
